Aleksandr-like-The-Great

Call me Aleksandr. Like The Great (or glorious, if you prefer). I am a soldier. A feminist. And a philosopher geek (in the same way that one can be a 'warrior poet'). A 195cm (6'4ft) man, I was born to a family of Russian nobility and war-heroes. When the 'Iron Curtain' went down I received the rare opportunity to travel with the Peace Corps. I learned much about the world in those sojourns across the globe and because I never stayed in one place for too long, I like to think that I was never shaped by any one culture too much. Later, I obtained my duel-citizenship with the USA and joined the army. After that, I traveled some more on my own and created a self-defense business specifically in an effort to support and work with women help groups. I am a geek (video games, movies, books and anything fictional/and/or bathed in ancient history). A sportsman (combatives, parkour, mountain biking and avoiding the mall). And a student of history, philosophy and a little something I like to call 'the art of speechcraft'. I am going to post whatever random thoughts strike my fancy (they will vary in gravity and importance).
