His academic success provided a strong foundation for his future endeavors in veterinary medicine. In 2021, recognizing the need for accessible veterinary care, he founded Mercy Veterinary Service in Baldwin, Wisconsin. His efforts in Haiti reinforced his commitment to improving animal and human lives through veterinary care and community support. Upon returning to the United States in 1987, he settled in Baldwin, Wisconsin. In 2001, he purchased a local veterinary practice, providing top-notch care to the community's animals until he sold the practice in 2016. Despite selling his practice, his dedication to veterinary medicine remained strong, leading him to establish Mercy Veterinary Service in 2021. Beyond his professional life, he is deeply involved in philanthropic activities. He volunteers at Today's Harvest Food Shelf, where he helps combat food insecurity by assisting with food distribution. Additionally, he supports Mercy Corps, contributing to global humanitarian efforts to aid communities in crisis. His passion for animal welfare extends to his volunteer work with Barefoot Crow Animal Rescue, where he provides vital veterinary care to rescued animals. His personal life is equally fulfilling.
