He/Him · Dartmouth, Massachusetts, United States

Chris Branco is a Massachusetts native whose journey reflects over two decades of dedication to public service, entrepreneurship, and creative expression. His professional background includes work as a police officer, firefighter, and EMT, while he has also pursued music as an independent songwriter, sharing original songs through online platforms. Chris was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, where his early education eventually led him to enroll at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. His time there provided a foundation for a career focused on serving the public in high-pressure and demanding roles. In 1992, he earned his first certification in emergency medical services. By the age of 23, he had already become certified as an Emergency Medical Technician, marking the beginning of what would become a 20-year career of active service. For two decades, he served as an EMT, responding to countless emergencies. The role required quick thinking, ongoing training, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. His responsibilities covered routine calls and more complex incidents that demanded advanced triage. Additionally, Chris earned Firefighter Level I and II certifications, expanding his ability to serve the community. His dual training provided him with the opportunity to work on both preventive measures and frontline response, participating in fire scenes, accidents, and health-related emergencies. In 1999, he joined law enforcement as a reserve police officer and later became a full-time officer in 2003. His previous service as an EMT and firefighter provided him with a valuable perspective on policing, enabling him to handle both day-to-day duties and critical incidents effectively. Over nearly a decade, he pursued advanced training and certifications that expanded his role. He became a Field Training Officer, working closely with recruits and passing on tactical knowledge and professional standards. Branco later became certified as a Crime Scene Investigator and Hostage Negotiator, both of which required precision, communication, and de-escalation skills. Additional training with the Taser X26 and certification in LEAPS/CJIS systems further supported his work. He also strengthened community connections by establishing the Citizens’ Police Academy in Little Compton, which provided the public with direct learning experiences about police work. In 2012, Chris shifted into entrepreneurship, founding Branco Landscaping. The business provided property improvement services across Massachusetts and nearby regions, enabling him to apply organizational planning and client-focused work while continuing to work on hands-on projects. At the same time, he nurtured his creative side, writing and recording music that reflects his experiences and personal outlook. Today, Chris Branco is recognized for a career that combines public service, business leadership, and music, demonstrating his ability to make meaningful contributions across diverse fields.
