Joseph Rallo

Joseph Rallo is the CEO at E.F. Hutton & Co., a firm he brought back to prominence in May 2020. Under his leadership, the company became one of the most active IPO underwriters by deal volume in 2022 and early 2023. With over 20 years of experience in investment banking, Rallo has completed more than 500 transactions, generating proceeds exceeding $60 million. His leadership combines professionalism, adaptability, and strategic insight, enabling him to guide clients and teams through complex financial markets with focus and integrity. Rallo’s expertise spans a wide range of financial services, including initial public offerings (IPOs), special-purpose acquisition (SPAC) offerings, mergers and acquisitions (M&As), debt capital markets, leveraged financing, restructuring, recapitalization, private placements, and risk management. His ability to structure and execute intricate deals has earned him a reputation for precision and reliability. Colleagues describe him as collaborative and responsive, while clients value his transparent approach and commitment to long-term success. Rallo’s professional journey began during his university years, when he worked as a Summer Analyst in Equity Derivatives at Lehman Brothers. After earning his degree, he spent a decade at Citizens JMP Securities as Vice President in the Financial Institutions & Real Estate Investment Banking Group. He later joined Aegis Capital Group as Co-Head of Global Investment Banking, where he honed his leadership and strategic planning skills. These experiences shaped his vision for building E.F. Hutton into a forward-thinking firm that blends tradition with innovation. In 2020, during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rallo co-founded E.F. Hutton. Headquartered in Manhattan, the firm provides advisory and financing solutions to corporations, sponsors, and public-private partnerships. Rallo led the firm through a period of transformation by integrating digital tools to support remote collaboration and ensure client continuity. His proactive and purpose-driven approach helped the company grow steadily despite the challenges of a changing global market. Beyond his professional achievements, Joe Rallo is deeply involved in philanthropy. He supports causes focusing on healthcare, education, and youth empowerment with his wife. His philanthropic work includes contributions to organizations helping HIV/AIDS-affected families in Africa and India, advancing childhood cancer research, and improving access to medical care for vulnerable communities. He serves on the boards of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Lang Lang International Music Foundation, and the Rousseau Foundation. He has also supported Make-A-Wish America and Keep a Child Alive (KCA). Joseph Rallo earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. A four-time Monogram Winner, he played Division 1 Lacrosse and co-founded the Irish Fighting for St. Jude Kids, a collegiate fundraising organization. He holds FINRA Series 24, 63, and 79 licenses and lives in New York City with his wife and children, where he continues to balance professional excellence with family and community values.
