His academic background in art, design, and art history laid the foundation for his career as an Art Educator. He is close to completing a Master’s of Art in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Art Curriculum and Social Work at UALR. He acquired his teaching license from the Arkansas Department of Education and has endorsements as an ESL Instructor and an ADOL teacher. Starting as an LRSD art educator, he has passionately promoted visual arts education across various educational levels. He has also served as a college and career coach, holding numerous positions within the Little Rock Education Association, where he helps other teachers enhance their skills. He has authored several books and produced the film Supa Tight, a crime thriller based on one of his comics. Since the early '90s, he has led art, writing, music, self-esteem, and character development workshops. His co-founding of "The Legendary Backyard" has been pivotal in nurturing the local Hip-Hop community and providing a platform for spoken word, an essential medium for African-American activism and expression. His dedication to education, the arts, and community advocacy has led to significant change, highlighted by his recognition as the first Poet Laureate of Little Rock, Arkansas.
