on the edge of having lived twenty five years, feeling a deepening sense of boredom without the distractions of familiar streets to distract me, i need this. i'm going to read each winner of the Man Booker Prize when my birthday comes on April 1st of 2012. however, reading causes me to drink too much merlot, so i will also be setting a purely physical goal as well: to run. i do not have an amount of kilometres in mind, but i want to be able to run for fifty minutes without feeling the end slapping me in the throat. coming from my home town, to a city where i know no one, i've lose the ability to notice and feel beauty. while reading Alan Hollinghurst's The Line of Beauty, i decided to love life through what i underline and through the concrete beneath my feet. this is my Man Booker Trail Run.
