Missy Schmidt

Missy joined xTuple as director of marketing on February 1, 2012. With over 30 years of experience in marketing, communication and business development, Missy’s expertise accommodates long-term needs, especially with strategic planning and execution, focused on the building of open-ended customer-centric win-win relationships. She serves on the board of directors of the Hampton Roads chapter of PRSA (Public Relations Society of America), holds memberships in the Hampton Roads Chapters of the American Advertising Federation and American Marketing Association as well as Technology Hampton Roads (the region’s Tech Council). She is heavily tied into the economic development, startup and entrepreneurial communities. Prior to xTuple, Missy was vice president of strategic communication and marketing for the Hampton Roads Partnership. Missy holds a B.S. from Virginia’s James Madison University. She and her husband, Bert Schmidt, President and CEO of WHRO Public Media for Hampton Roads, reside in the “innovation corridor” of downtown Norfolk, Va.
