I am a graduate student in counseling psychology . I am certain that Art and Poetry can be used to alleviate or contain feelings of trauma, fear, or anxiety and also to repair, restore and heal. In that vein, I see artists, photographers and poets as part of a community of healers of a wounded society and restorers of a more unified and peaceful world culture. I am exploring how such restorative healing can take place in children who have suffered trauma under violent military occupation as have the children in Gaza and the West Bank
