I am currently a 28 year old senior at Columbia University in the City of New York. I have one semester left before I receive my BA in African Studies with a minor in Political Science. I spent 8 1/2 years in the US Navy and was fortunate enough to travel the world and meet a lot of great people, some of whom I consider to be brothers forever. I am a very lucky man who has had the opportunity to continue traveling and pursuing my interests. I lived in Kenya for almost 4 months last Fall for a study abroad and it changed my perspective and my life's path. This summer I will be living in Masaka, Uganda and interning at a microfinance organization. Although I am preparing myself for multiple paths, my goal is to live and work in East Africa for a few years after I have completed my education.
